In 2000, I was first-year elementary school teacher applicant. The plan was to teach fourth grade, but during the interview, I was wooed to the pre-teen turmoil of junior high with the promise of technology. Teaching fourth grade had been my goal, but the temptation to join a team that utilized technology as an educational tool was too enticing.
Now 20 years later, I am still using technology with my students. I understand when to use technology to empower students and, more importantly, I know when to turn it off. Remember, our end goal is student learning.
The hope of this website is to provide you with researched teaching strategies that are used by this experienced teacher and my incredible students.
